Looking for some ideas for your summer bucket list? Today, I’m sharing a really great family-friendly summer bucket list that’s sure to provide a lot of fun for your family.
One of my favorite ways to foster fun for our family is to make seasonal bucket lists. My kids love when I put a new list up on the fridge and always get so excited to see what we’re going to be doing over the next few months. I’m not great about doing it every season, but one time I never miss is the summer bucket list.
Why? Summer is when we’re all at home, we tend to get bored, and we need the most help. It’s important to me that we have a family-focused, fun summer. I don’t want to accidentally waste the whole thing just laying around the house!
(Although, let’s be clear – there’s plenty of laying around the house every summer.)
Summer bucket lists are a great way for us to make sure the kids don’t end the summer feeling like they missed out on anything. It’s also a really great boredom-buster on a day where we all want to get out of the house but don’t know what we want to do!
So, here’s our 2022 summer bucket list. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s family-friendly and attainable for a family with young children. Our older son is 8 and our youngest will turn 4 at the end of the summer. So, I always work to make lists that will be good for everyone!
2022 Summer Bucket List
- Go camping
- Visit a museum
- Have a “yes day’
- Go to a new splash pad
- Make ice cream cake
- Go to the beach
- Have a water balloon fight
- Visit the zoo
- Make homemade pizza
- Go on an ice cream date
- Decorate the driveway with chalk
- Watch fireworks
- Visit a new playground
- Go on a hike
- Have a movie marathon
- Bake a new recipe together
- Have a picnic
- Family game night
- Go to the movies
